First, we opened up Saturday in the Park in Sioux City, IA....then we rocked out at the Newton Hills Hoedown near Canton, SD.
Snakebeard Jackson is...your old shoes and worn out hat, your last cigarette and life on the tracks, your hometown, your heros, your happy regrets, your mother, your brother, and still drinkin’ uncle, his empty bottles, your empty bottles, your bottom’s up and your lack of love, giving you hope, loaning you smokes, sharing a bed and stealing the sheets, stealing your food and cleaning the plates, a lot of the truth, most of your lies, keeping the salt from all of your eyes, growing up, being sold, all of the stories you tell when you’re old, the trainwreck the shipwreck and all of the smoke, all of the thoughts you thought were your own.
Hey, you should ignore that story Andrew (on tour now) is tellin' ya. I saw the whole thing go down. The 7ft tall dude was actually a light pole, the knife from the old dude was a snickers bar he stole from a 12 year-old, and he didn't stab anybody. He ate half of it and smeared the other half all over a stop sign while he was makin' out with it's friend the fire hydrant...so...don't be afraid of spearfish, we're lookin' forward to the shows. There are no stabbings, our hillbillies only come into town for supplies on the last tuesday of the month. And all of our 7ft tall giant-alien-human hybrids live up in lead where they were planted to dig for gold...oops I've said too much now. Later
so there I was minding my own life when out a no where a dude at least 7ft. tall says to himself, "I'm going to kill that Andrew (on tour now) guy!!errrrr" but he was thinking out loud so I heard every word, so I quickly grab a pocket knife that I saw an old man using and stabed that 7ft. tall guy in the neck. What I'm trying to say is we up here in Hill country can't wait for the Spearfish shows.
Hello Snakebeard. My friends and I are all big fans of your music. Its very very catchy indeed. Here's a little jam we had in the early hours of the morning a few days back. there's a banjo and a mandolin in there so we thought you might be interested in seeing it.
