Hi! Thanks for stopping by my page here in the vast virtual world of MySpace!
I'm a writer of horror/suspense fiction that often has a supernatural element to it. My novels include In the Wake of the Night, The Reaper and Snow Hill, and my short fiction has been collected into the print anthologies and magazines of Shroud Magazine, Morpheus Tales, The Sound of Horror among others; I'm also co-editor (with David Montoya) of Winter Frights.

SNOW HILL
Paperback | 252 Pages
Blu Ph'er Publishing | July 2008

Synopsis:
Blessed with a gift to solve murders, homicide detectives Rebecca Strong and Jack Stoughton are faced with their most troubling case: a string of killings that leave their victims mutually dead and grotesquely disfigured. This new case is bringing both horror and the realization that somewhere else, a hell full of monsters, death and secrets wait.
Kyle and Kennedy were ordinary high school sweethearts until one day their parents were murdered. Led to believe it has something to do with the Snow Hill Country Club for a payment left due. Kyle, with no one to stop him begins his own investigation into the grizzly murders of his parents, and it starts with the cryptic puzzles, symbolic pictures and a book hidden in a catacomb beneath the surface of the country club.
The book of Necromancer, a book only thought to exist by legend is real and rumored to have been written by a demon centuries ago in six volumes and holds the key to travel through other worlds, including the pits of Hell and the Afterlife. A lone stranger who calls himself Daniel is the only person to know how to use the books and manipulation is part of his game.

"Darkness is a mask of many faces, look into the eyes, then you will know, the stranger who is not."

Copy of lyrics for a Song that North Head wrote for me about losing my friend ... Thought I would share.

Snow Angel

Merry Christmas and I’m all alone…Laid my back down on the snow
Made an Angel so you would know…That I have left but I’ll never go

Christmas Eve can be so cold…The memories that never grow old
Said goodbye to me and there’s one less soul…so decorate your tree with the grief you hold

You don’t have to laugh tonight
You don’t have to smile all the time
But when you think of me don’t cry
I’ll always be right by…your side

Guitar Solo

There’s one thing I want but I don’t dare ask…I know that Santa won’t bring you back
All the holiday cheer won’t change the fact…there’s no more presents for you to wrap

You don’t have to let me go
Just hold on tight and our love can still grow
I’ll find a way let you know
Like an Angel under your window
In the snow…
Stephen W. Roberts, Dark Fiction Writer.

I've never done anything like this, but for anyone who doesn't know, Joe passed away on Thanksgiving. I only met him in person once, and we exchanged comments a few times on the HWA board, but I think it says a lot about him that his last blog on this site was about a charity he was working. I think he really had his priorities in order. God bless.
