THE STORY OF SOAPBOX PARADOX...

Since 2003, Soapbox Paradox has been rallying up the forces of punk, ska and rock to create a piercing sound wave that is sure to make you get up and move. With an intersection of blending genres, Soapbox Paradox’s sound is truly something to hear first hand.
Based out of Detroit, Soapbox Paradox recently had the pleasure of recording with punk-rock heavyweight producer Ryan Greene (Nofx, F5, Megadeth) out at his Arizona recording studio, Crush Recording... You can hear the songs we did streaming right now!
In 2006 Soapbox was approached by Garageband.com to participate a contest entitled, "The Garageband Faceoff!"... a competition where all the best bands on the site competed to win a $100,000 deal with Capitol Records... all based on national voting via terrestrial radio and text messaging... Needless to say, we didn't win but landed in the top 5 bands forfeiting $25,000 just for the chance to go for the deal... I think they made a game show around this concept... Deal or No Deal? Anyways, we were happy to make it as far as we did and it was an honor just to be nominated!
Soapbox Paradox in the past has shared the stage with international heavyweights RANCID @ St. Andrews Hall, 2006, in Detroit, MI. Later that same year, Soapbox Paradox played the Motor City Ska Fest, both 2006 & 2007, with Mustard Plug, Deals Gone Bad, Gangster Fun, The Exceptions, Parka Kings... We've also played at Journey's Backyard BBQ 2007 and loads of other shows in the metro-Detroit area... Youtube us for some videos!
