They decided that if their skills were to be used for this purpose, they would have to follow strict rules. For the three blacksmiths had never before created life. Bearing this new responsibility and heeding warnings against hubris, the three young artists continued their trade. Soon a world of blunt instruments was overcome with motion. Gears, bearings, cogs, and pistons gave life to beautiful objects that soared through the air, learned the deepest seas, and turned land into dust. As men without wit gained control of these machines, the blacksmiths realized the implications of their craft. So they started a Metallica cover band and ripped. They ripped hard.
