Sophie Hunger, who grew up in London, Germany and Switzerland, released her first home recorded album „Sketches on Sea“ in 2006, by simply handing it around among friends in Zürich. This collection of songs spread instantely becoming a somewhat underground cult hit and was accompanied by sold out live performances.
Six months after her first recordings you would find her playing in Paris’ "Bataclan“ with Stephan Eicher, in Prag’s "Acropolis“ with Erik Truffaz and in London’s "Luminaire“ with The Young Gods. In 2008 she independently released her first studio album „Monday’s Ghost“ which will finally be distributed throughout Europe in early 2009.
