Pantera, Slayer, Metallica, Slipknot, Suicidal Tendencies, Testament, Lamb of God, Meshuggah, Damageplan, Static-X, Prong, Anthrax, Sacred Reich, etc. all of the great metal bands have inspired us.
SOULBLEED was formed and taken on by four members who have been true to their roots-Heavy Metal. Dave Rubenhold, Steve Marshall, Elaina Bangma, and Pat Magrath strive to create music that is powerful, raw, melodic at times yet always against the grain and always metal. Having played in different projects over the years, all of the members wanted to make more brutal music while maintaining a high level of musicianship and not being afraid to incorporate more innovative ideas. SOULBLEED has always been about the music first and foremost without relying on gimmicks or conforming to current trends. Drawing from a wide range of influences (such as Pantera, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Slayer and Suicidal Tendencies to name a few) has helped the band shape their sound and find a voice that is unique to SOULBLEED. This band thrives on giving metal fans what they want and truly provides something for everyone.
Since the band’s first show at the world famous Whisky a go go, they have shared the stage and been very well received with acts like Prong, Kittie, Static-X, All That Remains, In This Moment, Scars of Tomorrow, Calico System, Light This City and many more. SOULBLEED has also been interviewed and has had their music featured on ESPN Action Sports hosted by Rick Thorn, Monsoon Radio, Molten Metal Radio, Dark Cloud Radio, Nvasion Radio, Hellion Radio, and featured on Asylum Radio’s Top Ten Unsigned Bands. SOULBLEED has also been included on the “Race Track Rock Vol. 1&2” compilation album featuring artists like Aerosmith, Anthrax, Journey, Ozzy Osbourne, and Exodus. Even with this list of accomplishments under their belt, SOULBLEED still works hard to get their music heard and gain fans by any means necessary.
