Band Members	The man, the myth, and the motherfucker; otherwise collectively known as I. My common Earth nickname is Jimbo.
Influences	Well I try to make music I like, so I guess I'm my own influence. I'm also influenced by the curve of the Earth, gravitational pull of the moon, distant memories of the Horsehead Nebula, dancing kitties, and the devils that live inside my mind.
Sounds Like	Sounds like taking a tenstrip of acid while sitting on the beach of a distant planet while watching the entire universe collapse. you know, really loud and fucked up sounding but with moments of tragic beauty and melody or something. basically, the doomier the better.

About Soul of the Phoenix

Not much to say. This is just mainly about a guy who likes to make music that pushes his mind into an introspective Hell. Most of it is done using MusicMaker and their fine samples. Then I mix and mutilate them until I get blood streaming from my ears and my skull plates start to separate. I'm also slowly adding guitar to many songs even though I still suck ass. I have some older albums that are okay, though alot of that stuff fell victim to the learning curve. just let me know if you would like to hear any of this stuff, the styles all vary.

I plan on having 3 releases this year with packaging I plan on printing myself. The 2 disc "astronautical" which is my ode to space, technology, and the destruction of man. "deconsecration" which is a sample laden, slab of doom, religious/anti-religious opus looking at faith and religion from many viewpoints. "release the drones" is a collection of various songs that go from psychedelic doomy to fun and groovy. just let me know if you would like to preview more tracks from these as well. a lot of the songs are kinds long, so give them a chance to get going so you can get the full experience. i'm a big fan of the slow build and lots of layers. the main point is just to enjoy yourself.

It's music I can escape to.. and watch as if it were a movie in my head. The occasional dialogue surely helps with that.
