Formed in 1983 as Lunchmeat with Bobby Sullivan-vocals, Scott McCloud-guitar, Alexis Fleisig-drums and Chris Thomson-bass. Released a 7" called Thanks and rereleased as Getting Shit for Growing Up, Recorded at Black Pond Studios in 1984, on Sammich Records. Changed name to Soulside, Chris Thomson left after first record Less Deep Inside Keeps. Johnny Temple took over bass, released Trigger on Dischord Records. Toured US, Canada and then Europe in 1989 and recorded and released HotBodi Gram through Dischord Records. Disbanded in 1989. Members went on to be in bands like Circus Lupus, Ignition, Little Baby, Seven League Boots, Rain Like the Sound of Trains, Girls Against Boys, Sevens and Monorchid.
you boys were fucking mighty... saw you at dc space when i was a young teenager. when trigger (and hot bod) came out they blew everybody's mind. the bass and guitar were this new type of attack, the drums solid, the vocals passionate. you fellows influenced a lot of musicians who went on to form bands in the early 90s. thanks for that... p.s. thanks for the add, it's an honor to feel connected to the folks who made punk/hardcore happen in the span of 85-90 or so. that was a great, great time...
