SSP 002 - Dennis s/t 7" Four songs from CT's emocore welterweights ($2.50) SSP 003 - Ripshit/Offsides split 7" SSP 004 - Oiltanker 7" From the cultural wasteland of central CT arises the explosive beer-fueled d-beat insanity of Oiltanker. Incredible dark, sludgy, crusty hardcore to get tinnitus and/or suicidally depressed to. Split release with BSP ($3.00) SSP 005 - Dylan Bredeau/Ripshit split 7" These are two of my favorite bands around today, and this the best work of each. The addition of Fred from The First Step and Fired Up on drums has helped hone Ripshit's craft and send them soaring to new heights. Dylan Bredeau are vaguely folky, vaguely poppy, vaguely emoey, and very punky. They are a unique, powerful, moving band. Beautiful pen-and-ink drawn sleeve, cardstock inserts, hand-stamped and numbered out of 250. ($3.00) SSP 006 - Infarction "Unifying Themes" C5 EP A misfire of a solo EP from the Spicy Soup honcho. Chaotic, inept, and willing to see bad ideas through to their illogical conclusions. Fifty copies made, and then it's back into the void. ($1.50)
Other distributed projects: UNX 003 - Dead Uncles "Cut Down To Sighs" 7" EP Four infectious nuggets of early-twenties ennui disguised as Cometbusy pop-punk. Highly customized, labor intensive sleeves, "limited" to 316 copies, and generally excellent. Download and order at http://deaduncles.blogspot.com. Unx orders can be consolidated with other SSP goodies, enquire within. ESCALATOR demonstration cassette - Heavy, dense CTHC from former Ripshit and Flaming Tsunamis personnel. Scathing examinations of the city, scene, and self set to attention deficit tech crust. ($2.00)
