Sometime in 2006, composer Stefan Tcherepnin approached dj/producer Orion Keyser with the idea of creating abstract synthetic dance music using an array of rare and classic electronic musical instruments. The resulting recording projects soon led to a demand for live performances, and the duo began performing electronic music at house parties and small clubs around New York City. As the project outgrew its conception, a series of fecund recording sessions added vocalist Laurie Pierre to the mix, and this twisted trio has become known to the world as Spiral Blaster.
