Split Fifty was born is 1999 the product of a few friends in a garage in Tannersville Pa writing a few songs. Split Fifty went on to have some independent and major successes over the next ten years. The band was signed to three recordings contracts during that time and released two full length records and two ep's. There is also currently a back catalog of music and unreleased tracks available through Masquerade Recordings on Itunes and other digital music outlets. In 2007 Split Fifty was offered a deal with Universal Records. The band and management disagreed on the terms of the deal and inevitably ended up not signing with Universal. At that point SPlit Fifty released their final full length record Swing From Her Fingernails on singer Zach Neil's record label Masquerade Recordings. The record went on to sell well in the united states and the band supported the release with national touring on the Vans Warped Tour 2007-2008. In late 2008 Split Fifty signed with Eulogy Recordings and began pre production on what would have been the third full length record. During the recording process Zach Neil and Josh Bodwell realized that their hearts were no longer in this project and that they wanted to pursue more of a ROCK AND ROLL style project. Ladies and Gentleman please meet SWITCHBLADE KILLERS! SWITCHBLADE KILLERS is the new project featuring Zach Josh and Mike of Split Fifty. The new project is a departure from the pop punk/indie rock style of split fifty and is more a straight forward (guns and roses meets sabbath) rock band. Before the band even existed for a week Eulogy signed the new project and the band booked out a three week run on Warped Tour 2009 and a follow up support tour with Bayside slated for the fall of 2009. Ted is also pursuing a new project called Don't Panic. He describes it as foo fighters meets the Beatles. Keith has been pursuing poetry and writing for quite a wile and already has released two books. Keith will continue to pursue his writing. SWITCHBLADE KILLERS will be releasing their debut Album titled "The Devil In Your Bones" summer of 2009 on Eulogy Recordings . YES Eulogy is a metal hardcore label and NO SBK does not sound like that at all which is what the band feels is so cool about signing to that label. visit www.myspace.com/switchbladekillers to hear music and stay in touch.
