About me:

Howdy. We are Split Works. We bring good music to China (there is a lot of it here already -- we work with a bunch of talented Chinese musicians too). We are genre-agnostic, promoting everything from punk to electro to hip hop to garage rock to folk and back again. So far in 2009, we've organised rockin China tours with Young Knives, Battles and Jose Gonzalez (that last one rocked most mellowly). We've also worked with art galleries, record labels, performing arts centres, etc. to put on the 2009 JUE|MUSIC|ART festival, a 10-day extravaganza in Beijing and Shanghai featuring visual arts exhibitions, drama, and some kick-ass live music from China, France, the United States, etc. Our previous China tours have included Sonic Youth, Dandi Wind, Maximo Park, and Yue 2007 -- an outdoor festival featuring Faithless, Talib Kweli, Ozomatli, and many more.
