Grey Eye Glances, Rebecca Hart Project, October Project... old rock, old jazz, Old Blue Eyes... anything 80s from cheese to genius... Dvorak, Dean Martin, Dave Matthews... Patti Griffin, Patsy Cline, PJ Harvey... anyone noticing a pattern?
Movies
Stacey Ballis
Stacey Ballis, educator, author and TV personality presents unique solutions to entertaining at home while still working a fulltime job.
In terms of watching, I like originals not remakes, black and white classics and CGI animation, and of course, a sick addiction to the classic teen movies of the 1980s.
Television
I have a small substance abuse problem with Law and Order. I'm trying to limit to a couple episodes per day. Six Feet Under, Arrested Development, The Office (both versions), House, Weeds, Big Love, too many home improvement and cooking shows to admit to, minimal 'reality television' and yet maximum documentaries.
Books
My own...obviously! Anything by: Anne LaMott, Ursula Hegi, Joyce Carol Oates, Michael Ruhlman, Colette, MFK Fisher, Jane Austen, Tom Robbins, John Irving, Jasper Fforde, David Sedaris. And if you are sampling the best contemporary chicks have to offer, check out my friends and faves: Jodi Picoult, Laura Caldwell, Cara Lockwood, Jen Lancaster, Jennifer O'Connell, Liz Flock, Sarah Mlynowski, Carole Matthews & Lynda Curnyn.
Heroes
Oscar Wilde, Colette, my sister...

About me: I'm trying to make your time in waiting rooms shorter, keep you company on the plane, and give you a smile on a rainy day at home or a sunny day at the beach. Via my books, that is, I'm gonna be hard-pressed to keep you all company in person. For more on me, www.staceyballis.com
Who I'd like to meet: David Letterman, Phil Gordon, Jon Stewart, Lewis Black...or did they mean on MySpace? Nice normal folks with an interesting point of view. Old friends and new. Preferably people who have read/are planning to read my books :)
You have surely heard about the tragic death of a brave young woman who was murdered in Iran just for peacefully protesting with her father on the streets of Teheran.
Stacey, you're 'Inappropriate Men' book was brilliant. You're an amazing author, and your blessthischick icon is so cute. Keep making the world smile with your compelling stories. :)

Happy Holidays! Hope you’re enjoying the season so far. Seems it has been quite some time since I spent some time on Myspace. I have been busy altering my website at www. tonycowger. com to reflect my newest efforts in the freelance and ghost writing markets and focus less on my own novel. Anyway, I hope the rest of your year is wonderful and that the new year holds all the abundance you want. If you or someone you know is in need of some writing help please send them my way at www. tonycowger. com. (For any help I receive from my Myspace friends I am offering a 10% finders fee to say thank you for helping out a friend so be sure to write and let me know in case your friend forgets to tell me. If you hire me yourself, that 10% would be taken off what you pay so, either way, you win.) I have experience in writing sales ads/presentations, non-fiction and, of course, fiction. Thanks and happy holidays!
Thanks for adding me Stacey! I love your books, and I have recommended you to all my friends! (I just want to say Thank you to Jen Lancaster also, because I read her books first, then some of the people she recommended, and has blurbs from in her books..and so on and so on!!!!)
Keep up the great work I am looking forward to reading more!!!
