Stacy James has always loved to perform. She took her talent, determination, and confidence to pageant competitions at her young age of 15 years, and after winning Miss Texas High School 1997, went on to win the title of Miss Texas in 2001, and finally, finished as a semi-finalist in the Miss America Contest. She has since made over 375 appearances and performances as Miss Texas, and sang at such prestigious events as the 2002 Cotton Bowl, 2001 Texas Rangers Game, 2002 Houston Astros Game, and several NASCAR events in Ft. Worth, Texas.
After the completion of 4 cover CD's as fundraising efforts for the Texarkana Alzheimer's Association, Stacy released her first original album "Gravity" in March 2004.
Since 2004, Stacy has been producing and performing stage work on the Perot Theater Stage, with Chicago, West Side Story, a USO Show, Thanks for the Memories, and with Tex Rep, Putting It Together, a Stephen Sondheim production, and is currently Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
Stacy's first Christian album, This Side of Heaven, is on sale now at cdbaby.com and her website www.stacyjames.com. Stacy also has been on two Gaither Homecoming Videos this year which will be released later in the fall of 2007.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.
I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.
And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."
