there are around 30 members of stardust half of that gig. during the summer our number grow to 40 members and for panoram we are a band of 70 players.
we have a relationship with another steel band called steel quake. some of their members took part in the panorama this year.
i will be gathereing names of players so that we can introduce you to them.

The Stardust mas and pan band was formed in 1983 by the late Randolph
Baptiste after leaving Ebony Steelband which he co-founded in the late
1960's.
Randolph wanted to teach steelband music to the young children of this
country. His wish was to give them something to do that was
constructive, that would build confidence and would lead them in a way
of thinking that would help their future. Randolph was also a carnival
costume maker and with his daughter, Rhonda, made costumes for over 10
years in Stardust.
Since Randolph's passing in 2003 his children Rhonda, Adrian and Tara
have carried on his legacy and are teaching children and adults music
and arts through the steelpan and carnival costume traditions that they
were brought up in.
Stardust welcome anyone to come and join in their fun. Everyone is
welcome.

This is MashCarnivalBand second year at the Notting Hill Carnival, creating history last year by being the FIRST all Guyanese promoted carnival band to take part in NottingHill Carnival and this year looks at being even bigger than last. This year MashCarnivalband have more exciting new costume sections and a line up of London's hottest soca DJs.
Well if you're still in that carnival spirit or getting ready for carnival on Monday then this is for you. Club Excelsior brings you the Pre-Carnival Jump-Up on Bank Holiday Sunday 24th August 08. The DJs will be playing the best and the latest oldies, Reggae, Soca and Calypso.
SUNDAY 25TH MAY is an ALL GIRL AFFAIR, with an all girl line up this month is sure to be a treat. For a wicked night of good music and good vibes + a night with musical divas from UK'S female elite.
