Starhead is a spooky little y'all-ternative Ouvre-Fi folk-rock band headed by singer/songwriter Ira Wile, first formed at the end of winter, 2008.
Starhead membership has been proven to be subtly elastic, however.
While Starhead performances and recordings usually featured a core set of rhythm musicians and a certain emotional continuity throughout, various 'guest' appearances sometimes result in stylistic changes...
The band's name was originally drawn from the name of an album by another local band ( jetscreamer), the origins from there, according to Will Kapinos (of jetscreamer), are best left uncovered . Mr Kapinos will forever drink on our tab wherever we may play.
Starhead released a debut album, titled 'Escadrille', produced by Brent Best ( Slobberbone, The Drams, The Murder Virgins) in February of 2009, almost a year to the date fromthe penning of the first song.

"Before gas tractors plowed the fields, steam traction engines ruled the prairie. Now, the glory days of steam farming live on through the words of the men and women who experienced them firsthand. These 12 poems, originally submitted to the steam engine enthusiast magazine Iron Men Album back in the 1950s, have been unearthed and set to original music by Christian Williams. Enjoy this glimpse of a little-known chapter of American history."
