This is the site for State Approved Art, a Gothic Post-Punk band with an edgy-yet-familiar sound.
Dean Nonexistein has pushed 7-songs out the birth canal of his mind and transcended them into sound recordings for your listening pleasure. Some songs could achieve commercial success with the catchy-rhythms and romantic/longing-for-love themes. Some songs are dark, dank, twisted ditties with themes of molestation, identity theft, and blasphemy. Some songs will grab the attention of an unsuspecting public. Some songs will stimulate the mind, body and spirit in a way that will make the person an addict.
The State Approved Art name is ironic since lyrics convey subversive messages where the state will intervene and protect you 'from what you ought not to hear’.
Become part of music history and one day you will remember where you were when you first heard a State Approved Art song. One day you will explain to your children that you were once young and hip and purchased your first State Approved Art album.
