  • Bio

The trio was formed about two years ago in Orlando,Fl. Originally only two members were in the band to began with ,Timothy Davidson and Matt Oliver. They two worked on and off for a year and some months until finally booking a few shows and gaining exposure around Fl. Although the band seemed to be doing well but both Matt and Tim felt as though they needed one more person to complete the they're music puzzle.. shortly after recording some of there second e.p. they added Chris Carpousis to the band to play bass and do back-up vocal work. Stealing Deadwood is a unique, pulse driven music that can never really be put into exact words so make your our choice on how you feel about the band and music!

Bio:

Stealing Deadwood is a band formed out of late 2009 by Timothy Davidson and Matt Oliver who were on journeys to change not only their lives but, music along with that journey. Timothy and Matt were old high school classmates and friends. Both went through serious life changing events, criminalistic to say the least, after high school. Years later they ran into one another at a house party and got into conversation. Timothy brought up the notion that they should get together and jam. He had recent stared playing guitar and buying up new and used equipment to start a band. At first just to last time and have fun turned into a never ending passion to create music. Influenced by many artist such as PInk Floyd,Protest The Hero,The Red Shore,I Killed The Prom Queen,The Fall Of Troy,The Thirty Years War,Misfits,Pearl Jam,Sound Garden,Through The Eyes Of The Dead, Nirvana,Sublime,(old) Coheed and Cambria,(old)AFI,Shabutie and many, many more. After recording a live, two piece band set as Stealing Deadwood and later laid down bass they created there first e.p. Four tracks, with titles Cowards in Corners,Untitled Track,Donkey Punch and Photoplay Countervail. Later the band opened for Blood on the Dance Floor, which gained them some listener's. Matt and Timothy both realized bass was needed and a third member. Chris Carpoious, a old high school buddy of both Tim and Matt knew joined first. Learning old songs and help make new ones Chris seemed like a great fit. After many shows the trio got a slot to record a single in Atlanta and possibly get on a small label. Returning from the trip with Cowards(remix) Stealing Deadwood was ready to began a life of breathing music daily(at least for some) . Chris ending up spending time with school and they lost the deal. Timothy and Matt didn't give up and later meant Charles LaBarre, also going through difficulties in life gladly joined as bass. Although he played guitar for newly 14 years. The newly formed trio are now writing more music than ever and trying endlessly to book shows. STAY TUNED!.
