And now, a brief bio for y'all....
Steaming Dookies is an ongoing techno industrial electronic project I started in 2003 as a side project, a way to express my music and establish an identity for myself after five years of being the sideman in the outrageous Chicago punk party band Genral Patton and His Privates. I played nearly every club on the north side of Chicago and made alot of friends and fans, who encouraged me to strike out on my own. I still love the Genral and his music, and I really dig live shows with him though I rarely get the chance these days.
A Frequently Asked Question: How did you settle for such a crappy band name as "Steaming Dookies" and will you ever change it?
Answer: The SD name started from a mock radio spot I made for a commercial voice-over demo I put together when I opened the studio. It went something like...
"Atomic Brown Eye by The Steaming Dookies! If you haven't heard of it before, you will! Available now on Big Yellow Hand Records wherever music is sold!"
Well, I started writing this heavy industrial experimental music and posting it all over the internet under the SD moniker. It got so popular and so widespread that it would be search-engine suicide to change it now. So even though I may change it in the future, for right now, I'm stuck with it! Now, back to the bio...
Rob Zombie
Drawing influences from some personal favorites, Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers, Trent Reznor and The Prodigy, I began tossing a few of my songs around the internet to kind of test the waters. That was three years ago.

Since then, I have watched the Dookies climb to the top of the charts on www.mp3.com.au (Australias MP3.com) consistently scoring in the top five techno and industrial artists, and having the number one industrial album (Skid Marks Of Joy) for months. Also in the top ten on Broadjam, funender, acidplanet, and so many others, we have lost count. Steaming Dookies enjoy heavy plays and downloads numbering in the thousands (per month).
SongPlanet.com has also been playing my songs regularly on their live DJ hosted internet radio and The Dookies Stop The Hate has made the top 50 songs on the entire site with much help from Jill No Jack, a big Dookies fan. Jill has started her own artist community website with Indie Heart, so go there now and set up your own music hosting page! Love ya, Jill!
In the midst of all this, I also started Big Yellow Hand Studios, a virtual studio that produced a grand prize-winning remix of The Project's song The Truth sponsored by Sony and Acid Pro Software.
Currently, there is a live lineup in the works and will feature some of Chicagos best musicians. When that happens, no venue will be safe, and nobody will be spared. Be afraid, be very afraid...
I gotta say that I am humbled to have so many great producers, DJs and fellow artists as fans. My studio is getting some noteriety as well and I have produced and engineered tracks for Platinum Dragon 17 (industrial recording artist, Canada), Peter Hyrka (violinist, mandolin, Gypsy Hombres/producer, Sixpence None The Richer), and have some upcoming projects with Experimental Division Nashville Records, and label Prez, Dustin Michael (he's looking for new talent, by the way!)
