Steeve Foster was born in Montreal on February 13. He was raised in a predominantly Haitian neighbourhood, which would account for his having been bitten by the music bug at a very young age. From childhood, Steeve lived only for music. Barely able to write, he composed his first song at the age of six. With a passion for music, he was continually composing melodies and filled his school notebooks with poetic verse. This interest in music reached its height when, at the age of eleven, he discovered the vocal technique perfected by some gospel artist. After that, he had but one aim in life – to sing. At fourteen, It was at this time that he had his first experiences in a studio. He acted as producer, director, composer, author and artist for his first recorded song. Meanwhile, he performed in a video clip of a Canadian band. He also worked as a model for an agency of Montreal. In 2000, he ceased all professional activities in order to redefine and perfect his style. For 5 years he explored different musical genres, composed melodies, wrote songs, continued his singing lessons, etc. In March 2005, Foster went back on stage to perform his first song in 5 years at the opening ceremonies of the International Interschool Winter Games 2005.
Today, Steeve Foster is a melody writer, author, composer and artist without equal. The influence of Dance-Pop,and Hip Hop are reflected in his compositions. Foster has had experiences as varied as they are unusual, and this is what he shares in the words of his songs. His voice is a melodious and refined.
Future Steeve Foster projects are ambitious. From childhood he has lived for his music and this devotion has only increased over the years. As well, he has been hard at work on an album that would do justice to his considerable talent, with a company that has given him the freedom to create and to express himself through his songs. He also sees a future in sharing his talent with other artists through writing songs for them. On the longer term, Foster would like to explore other facets of the artistic world (cinema, television).
