    ABOUT ME I was born in Naples, Italy, in 1978, and started playing when I was very young, studying piano at first but choosing guitar at last. From blues to pop to rock, in Naples I cut through different musical experiences, until I moved to Rome in 2001 and decided to dedicate myself fully to solo acoustic guitar. When I first listened to Michael Hedges's striking album ..Aerial Boundaries.., in 2003, I started studying technique and composition with Pino Forastiere and approached contemporary music, in particular American Minimalism (Steve Reich). PARTICOLARE#UNO PROJECT With his debut album "particolare#uno" (Candyrat Records, 2009) Stefano Barone has immediately gained the attention both of the critical reviewer and of the so-called "new acoustic guitar": his song "Batman / Alexander Supertramp" is two million views on Youtube and -as well as other original compositions of the cd - it has been requested as soundtrack for documentaries, dance shows and animation movies, being choosed also as testimonial song by the International Association "World Centers of Compassion for Children". Stefano has an excellent guitar technique and an extraordinary control of the electronic machines used in a compositive direction: he skilfully mixes the acoustic and electronic sounds for an effect of great orchestration. From his neapolitan roots, Stefano has inherited an infallible sense of rhythm and improvisation. In such a perfect balance in between acoustic and electronics, Stefano performs live a "continuum" program, where all the songs are mixed one into another, for a concert that can be hosted by different venues such as theatres, clubs and Live discotheques. Stefano Barone has performed in Italy and in United States; in March 2010 he released "Guitar Republic" (Candyrat Records), a trio with Pino Forastiere and Sergio Altamura. Stefano Barone is working on his new solo album, that will be released in 2012.
