    .. ..DEUTSCHE VERSION.. .. Was tun verzweifelte Eltern, wenn ein Dreijähriger beim Ertönen jedweder Musik mit voller Begeisterung auf alles einschlägt, was er in 40 cm Höhe eben so greifen kann? Im Falle von Steffen Baumann kauften sie ein Mini-Schlagzeug, heuerten einen Musiklehrer an und hofften, dass das Genie die Oberhand über den Wahnsinn gewinnen möge. Der Plan ging auf und die Trommelanfälle wurden in geregelte Bahnen gelenkt. Einige Jahre später und jenseits der Halbmeter-Marke kam die Gitarre ins Spiel. Die Freude bei den Eltern war groß, war die Schallisolierung des Kellers doch begrenzt und ihre Trommelfelle anstelle des reinen Gehämmers nun immerhin gelegentlich auch ganzen Melodien ausgesetzt... .. Und mit dem Alter wuchs die Einsicht, und so entschied sich Steffen noch vor der Volljährigkeit sogar für ganz komplette Songs – auf Vinyl gepresste, die über Plattenspieler zu Leben erweckt wurden und elektronischer Natur waren. Die Eltern – teure Anschaffungen inzwischen gewöhnt – taten den nächsten pädagogisch sinnvollen Schachzug und verknüpften den Erwerb der ersten Technics-Geräte kausal mit dem Erwerb des Abiturs. So schmückten etwa zeitgleich mit der ersten Freundin zwei 1210er das Kinderzimmer, und 20 Jahre später kann man mit Gewissheit sagen: die Leidensfähigkeit der Eltern Baumann und sämtliche Investitionen in die musikalische Früherziehung des Filius waren nicht umsonst...!.. .. Denn 20 Jahre später ist es sein Musikgefühl, das Steffen Baumann in den Heerscharen motivierter DJs das ermöglicht, was er hat: Als Teil des Duos Lovarro & Styles sämtliche Clubs der Region bespielt, sich auf Großveranstaltungen wie Time Warp und Nature One vor großem Publikum bewiesen, im Ludwigshafener Loft eine Residency im wohl relevantesten Club weit und breit und seit Mai 2007 seine eigene Radiosendung. Mit SIXTY MINUTES auf sunshine live, Deutschlands relevantestem Sender für elektronische Musik, erreicht Steffen jeden Sonntag bis zu 200.000 Hörer mit seinem Mix aus deepem House, Techhouse, Minimal und Techno live über den Äther. Außerdem beschallt Steffen an allen Öffnungstagen sämtliche MISS SIXTY- und ENERGIE-Stores in Deutschland, Österreich, Holland und demnächst auch in der Schweiz. Das alles erhöht die Reichweite und führt zu vermehrter Nachfrage, und so war es nur eine Zeitfrage, bis am Jahresende 2007 die erste Doppel-Compilation zur Sendung in den Läden stand... .. Auf die erste folgte wenig später die zweite, und auch in Sachen Eigenproduktionen ging seitdem alles Schlag auf Schlag: Der Steffen Baumann & Taste T-Remix der Stereodudes-Nummer „Tonteria“ schnellte in der Woche nach Veröffentlichung direkt auf Platz 6 der Deutschen Club Charts. Steffen veröffentlicht seine Tracks und Remixe auf namhaften Labels wie dem von Martin Eyerer und Marc Romboy geführten Label Session Deluxe Recordings, Amused Records, Hertzklopfen, Lucent Records oder dem spanischen Insert Coin Records. Und apropos Spanien – im Sommer 2009 kamen auf Ibiza weitere relevante Leute auf den Geschmack: Ab Oktober 2009 wird der Baumann-Sound immer in der Nacht von Freitag auf Samstag zwischen 0:00 – 1:00 das Wochenende auf DEM Sender weltweit im elektronischen Bereich, Ibiza Global Radio, einläuten! empfangen per live-Stream unter www.ibizaglobalradio.com sowie terrestrisch auf Ibiza und den anderen balearischen Inseln, auf den Kanaren, im Großraum Valencia und ab Jahresende in ganz Spanien – olé!.. .. Die großen Anschaffungen finanziert Steffen inzwischen selbst und hat sich so, ganz ohne verknüpfte Bedingung, vor einigen Jahren den Traum vom eigenen Tonstudio verwirklicht. Die Schallisolierung dort ist optimal und die Eltern wohnen nicht darüber, so dass seinem musikalischen Output nichts mehr im Wege steht. Und wann ein Track gut genug und fertig ist, erkennt er nach wie vor daran, dass er irgendwann mittrommelt..... .. .. .. ..ENGLISH VERSION.. .. What do desperate parents do when their 3-year-old son, by the sound of any music starts beating on any object that he can reach in a height of 40 cm full of passion and joy? In case of Steffen Baumann they bought mini-drums, hired a music teacher and hoped that genius may get the better of madness. The plan worked out and soon the out-of-control-drumming was put on the right track. A couple of years later, the guitar also became a part of Steffen..s life. His parents were quite happy when after years of pure noise their eardrums actually caught the sound of a melody... .. With age grew insight, and Steffen decided even before he was 18 to start playing complete songs – the ones pressed on vinyl, which could be brought to life by a record player and were of electronic nature. The parents – used to buying expensive equipment by now – did the next well-planned move in their son’s future and attached the purchase of the first Technics equipment with the passing of his high-school diploma. As a result he almost simultaneously had his first girlfriend and two 1210er in his room, and 20 years later one can surely say: The pain, time and money invested by Steffen’s parents in their little one had not gone to waste... .. Because 20 years later it..s his sense of music that makes him special, stand out of the rest of talented DJs and that helped him accomplish many great things: Steffen played in clubs all over Germany, stood his ground on huge events like Time Warp & Nature One in front of enormous crowds, and is resident DJ at Loft Club, Ludwigshafen, one of the most renowned and best German clubs. Since Mai 2007 he hosts his own radio broadcast on Germany’s best-known dance-channel sunshine live and reaches about 200.000 listeners every Sunday. “SIXTY MINUTES” is the title of the programme, which is powered by the worldfamous fashion labels MISS SIXTY, ENERGIE and Killah. Apart from that, Steffen’s sound of Deep House, Tech House, Progressive and Minimal Techno is played in all MISS SIXTY- and ENERGIE-stores in Germany, Austria and The Netherlands on every business day – Switzerland soon to come. All this creates huge advertisement and increases demand, so it wasn’t any wonder that after just six months on air at the end of the year 2007 his first double-compilation was in stores... .. Soon after and due to its remarkable succes the sequel was released and from that point on everything went quickly: Steffen successfully releases his own tracks and remixes on well-known German labels like “Session Deluxe” driven by Martin Eyerer and Marc Romboy. His Remix of “Tonteria” by the Stereodudes entered the Top Ten of the German Club Charts straight after its release. Even a Spanish label, Insert Coin Records, will publish one of Steffen’s remixes in October 2009... .. And apropos Spain – also starting in October the Baumann-Sound will regularly be spread by Ibiza Global Radio, the world’s leading radio station for electronic music! Initiating on October,2nd every Friday at midnight Steffen’s tunes will welcome the weekend – receivable worldwide via live-stream at www.ibizaglobalradio.com plus terrestrial on Ibiza, the other Balearic islands, the Canaries, greater Valencia and before the year is out all over Spain – olé!.. .. The big acquirements are now financed by Steffen himself and so a couple of years ago he was able to fulfill his dream of an own recording studio - without any linked condition by his parents. Fortunately, the parents don’t live above the studio nowadays, so he is a true studio wizard with unrestricted musical output – huge in quality and quantity. And still he realizes that a track is well done and completed when he starts drumming along like he did when he was a kid….. ..
