Stella Polaris, a four piece rock band in Champaign, IL, drew their influence from such bands as Weezer, Foo Fighters, Deathcab for Cutie, Hum, and ...You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead. Formed in 2004, they expanded their catalog to a healthy list of original songs that were carefully crafted and highly contagious. They are four real performers who care about music above all else, and the audience that shares in that music with them.
Uprooted to the heart of the mid-west from Stillwater, OK, they continued their musical endeavors in Ill Noize for only 2 short years, in which they played over 75 shows. Shying away from the stereotypical rock band stigma, Stella Polaris placed no emphasis on a front man, with all members pulling equal duty on various instruments as well as vocals. The band consisted of Brady Bledsoe (checlk out his latest musical endeavors at www.myspace.com/thefelonyarts), Andrew Linley (currently a live audio engineer), Zach Linley (currently working on several music projects), and Brandon Frederking (currently living in nashville. check one of the bands he is involved with at www.myspace.com/spencerezell).
This was a band that played their hearts out, took no shortcuts, and earned their fans one at a time..Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us. The Patchwork full length album will be available on itunes soon!
