    At some point in the year 2004, a pair of young Finnish men succumbed into the realm of heavy and dark death metal and passed the point of no return. Young minds were intrigued by origins of death metal in such measures that the desire to create music in similar vein ultimately conceived Stench of Decay. SoD started its career by bursting out its death metal related ambitions with highly aggressive demo of fast and slightly technical death metal. However successful the first demo was, the band reformed as years passed by. As a result, SoD introduced new, heavier, sound to its audience with Where Death and Decay Reign demo. Today, in the year 2010, SoD continues on the path chosen on WDaDR demo. Future efforts, with a renewed line-up, will bring devastating death metal that storms straight forward and haunts with eerie melodies and riffs.

The entity now known as Stench of Decay was spawned during the fall of 2004 with the intent of creating utmost death metal. Later on, however, the band evolved into firmly advancing and intense metal of death. After some line-up changes and audial manifestations, Stench of Decay will continue on the path laid down on the latest releases and further explore the domains of death metal darkness. ..
