DJ Stepwise (Andrés Octavio) is a reggae and dancehall selector, producer, and remixer from San Francisco. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Stepwise moved to the States at a young age and has been living in the Bay Area since 1997. Having DJed for over 13 years, Stepwise has played at venues across the United States and beyond (including Argentina, Australia, Brasil, Colombia, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Venezuela and others) and has shared the stage with artists such as Buju Banton, Capleton, Demarco, Midnite, Chuck Fender, Barrington Levy, Yellowman, Gentleman, Luciano, Tony Rebel, Aswad, The Wailers, Dezarie, Alika (touring Latin America as her DJ), Groundation, Eek-a-Mouse, Pato Banton, Fidel Nadal, Heavyweight Dub Champion and several of the US' top sound systems and selectors. In '06 Stepwise also linked up with the Bay Area hip hop collective Audiopharmacy, acting as resident DJ at all AP shows.
Stepwise is also well known for his mixtapes, including FULL CONFIDENCE VOL 1 (hosted by NiyoRah), THE OFFICIAL 2008 SOUTH AMERICA TOUR MIX (hosted by Mr Vegas), GHETTO YOUTHS (hosted by Stero-Lion), and many others. In June of 2008 Stepwise also had the honor of mixing/programming Alika & Nueva Alianza's new album "Educate Yourself", which was done in mixtape format. An avid remixer, Stepwise has also released many of his own reggae/dancehall remixes on his 7" record label, S.P.R.
These days Stepwise can be found DJing at reggae spots around the Bay and abroad, touring Latin America extensively as Alika's touring DJ. Stepwise can also be heard live on the air every Tuesday on his reggae and dancehall radio show Galang Radio, hosted on Colombia's well-known Superestacion.fm (on the Radio Etiope channel).

Con mas de 12 años detrás las bandejas, Stepwise he tocado en sitios alrededor del mundo (como los EEUU, Australia, España, Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Canadá, y mas...) y he compartido el escenario con artistas grandes como Buju Banton, Capleton, Demarco, Midnite, Chuck Fender, Barrington Levy, Yellowman, Gentleman, Luciano, Tony Rebel, Aswad, The Wailers, Dezarie, Alika (girando por Latino America como su DJ), Groundation, Eek-a-Mouse, Pato Banton, Fidel Nadal, Heavyweight Dub Champion y muchos de los sound systems mas reconocidos del mundo. Hoy en día Stepwise se puede encontrar tocando en muchas fiestas de reggae en SF y en las afueras, incluyendo su propia fiesta semanal HOLDING FIRM, que ocurre cada Domingo en Underground SF en la zona Lower Haight de San Francisco. Stepwise tambien se escucha al aire en vivo todos los Martes por Galang Radio, su show de reggae y dancehall por la gran emisora Superestacion.fm de Colombia (en el canal Radio Etiope).

A tune aimed at those who talk 'round di ting' & don't seem to put talk into motion, this song hits the spot.
