Well
the time has come to let you know the new CD is now for sale. Crazy Ei8hts
is the latest release and contains 10 tracks of original Heavy Metal. All
the tracks again feature Erik Fehrenbach on drums.
The
story behind this release goes like this. As most of you know I was asked a
few years ago to contribute music for a documentary about Thrash music
called Get Thrashed. This DVD has seen the light of day with its
U.S. release just this past September. I was approached again by Director
Rick Ernst and asked to put together a few clips of me playing the tracks
that had been used in the film. What I discovered was that the songs really
had some bite to them and the wheels in my head started to turn. I though
what if I recorded these songs again? So I set out just trying to do a few
and one thing led to another. I got Erik involved and over about a six week
period we had 10 songs done. Tracks 1-6 were used in the documentary while
the remaining tracks 7-10 were from the Now Generation CD that I shelved a
few years back. Now you're wondering about the name maybe? All of these
songs had originally been recorded on a digital 8 track so it seemed fitting
to have the word 8 in the title. Crazy just seemed to go with it. So now is
your chance to get newly recorded versions of some songs that had never been
released and some out of print.
