Currently working out of Berlin, SteveD is a Music Producer, Performer & Sound Designer. Musically, he is best known for producing and performing Dubstep. His style incorporates influences from a range of genres, with traces of Techno, Rave, Dub and Jungle being most prominent. His tracks are built from unusual sounds, incorporating hard hitting drums and winding digital basslines, with a focus on melody and interesting structures.
Having performed alongside Vex'd, Distance and Ital Tek to name but a few, he has crafted an energetic, fast paced live set. This experience has allowed him to test out material in club situations which is evident in the big sound of his tracks. His first release came in the form of a 5 track EP on Open Records at the end of 2008 entitled "Subjektive". His second release, the "Chop Happy" EP, was released on Eight:FX at the end of March 2009. His track "Nose Dive" has just been included on the latest Electronic Explorations mix by Crysis, which is now available to download. Watch out further releases in 2009 soon to be announced.

Review of "Subjektive" by Open Records:
From the Skull Disco / Slaughter Mob / Ital Tek corner of the dubstep universe comes this slice of crisp sheen crafting bass. From the traditional sounds spawns a heavy sub-bass complemented by scratchy percussion and eerie effects. A familar vibe of ancient Tokyo meets the mean streets of deepest East London, as gongs clang, and bass warbles. The tone is the academic coldness of IDM and MAX/MSP explorations meets dubsteps driving womping animalness, perfectly captured in Growler & Bruiser. I think potentially Ireland’s future contender for a spot held long by Barry Boxcutter Lynn as Irelands leading Dubstep talent.

Roots Factory and DB come together to bring you a day long reggae session upstairs in Dolans, Limerick, following the riotous Big Chillum earlier this summer.
Headlining the night is Wiggle, a live dub outfit from Cork, on stage at 9.
Doors Open at 2 and the afternoon will see a clash between Roots Factory and DB selectors playing their biggest tunes all day long.
