let me start by saying i love music, always have.some of my earliest memories are me standing and rocking on the front seat of my parents 1966 chrysler newport listening to the latest tunes on WGH a am station in hampton va.
fastforward some forty years later here i am in greensboro nc sitting and rocking in the front seat of my 1986 volvo 240 dl... the more things change....
i don't only rock in my front seat but i also rock at WQFS 90.9 fm, an independent college radio station on the beautiful grounds of guilford college in greensboro where i'm a dj. WQFS( rated as the #7 independent college radio in the nation by the princeton review) is great because they let me do my show my way.
i'm on friday nights from 8-10 and my show is called "bits & pieces" with the original steve-o, the reason i'm the original steve-o is to distinguish me from that other jackass. anyway i do two one hour themed shows, i don't just play rock though i play many different genres from the 60's-70''s and it's mostley VINYL,i love vinyl and have been collecting it since 1980. i put my show together at my house and carry it to the station in a cardboard box along with a thumb drive (120 minute cassette tape). thats another aspect of my show, i treat my show as if i'm making a mix tape, very minimal talking-less talk more rock- throw in the odd comedy "bits" with musical "pieces" and there you have it........
