Some call me Steve Subrizi, Stew Breezy, or Dr. Stubert McBreezy. I kind of wish someone would start calling me Stevsie, but I know that I cannot force that.
Influences
The Mountain Goats, Neutral Milk Hotel, Belle & Sebastian, The Decemberists, Of Montreal, Elliott Smith, The Modern Lovers, John Cale, Elvis Costello, and most music from John Hughes soundtracks, i.e., The Smiths, Echo & The Bunnymen, etc.
The first poem I remember of yours was the "Don't Judge Me!" poem. Then kind of a long pause until your very refreshing Green Line poem. So I'll admit, I was late to the Steve-Subrizi-is-Wonderful party. But I'm here, and I plan on staying, okay?
Steve! The Space still is what it is--I've been kind of back and everything, but I haven't been playing much, but I'm revamping my show by bringing in the guitar, so pretty much a la Neil Young I'll be playing both imstruments onstage soon! How's Boston?
Steve The CD is your masterpiece! I know it's the only one we have of you right now :), but it's really one of the best I've heard from a local artist. Great job!
Hey, I really like your music but I've never seen you play. I bought your CD a while back at a show in Wolfe Park. Do you play any shows anywhere else?
STEVE HAS A GIRLFRIEND! STEVE HAS A GIRLFRIEND! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWHOOOOOOOOOOO!!! You can finally take your girls out, mothers! The Subrizi has finally been caged! YAHOO!!!!
