In the last few years we have travelled so so so so much and seen loads of many amazing places... played hundreds of amazing shows and met a whole bunch of goood people...
thanks to all who gave opportunity!.
Stignoise is now living, breathing in Liverpool, Northwest UK and have built a studio and general noise room in a big old unused 1930's Odeon cinema. we have some new faces in our crew ! true! too the ongoing nature of our trumpet, drum and noise orientated collective :) -> playing less shows this year while we make records and are involved in many many other projects has been strange! many new things to find now tho!

We are also making sessions in this half condemned space for other amazing musicians, bands and friends with POST MUSIC. you will see some product of this soon in various ways! :) In summer we played some shows with Angie from the International drumming, she an amazing drummer! ! and we had alot of fun travelling to Berlin and Fusion festival.. totally amazing fest and hugge show!!

-> We have been recording things ourselves and releasing them mostly ourselves as limited edition runs of CD, , Tape & Vinyl with Class A Audio Records (Liverpool) and some help from the loons Wrong Music (Brighton). A compilation, Rum 'n Brass was released in 2006 on Forte/Pinnicle of recordings made between 2001-2005.

Currently when playing live we use vinyl decks, a theramin, 1 big drum kit, 1 little drum kit, Trumpets, a banjo, an couple of old casio keyboards, an old hawaiian lapsteel, some beats, BaSs!, a Uke, some dubplates, an old marching drum, Big Muffs no:184 & 185 (l'il chief), headphones used like microphones, a Theramin, a tin whistle, Zoooooom 224's, a shit mixer, a boss DD1, some triggers of field recordings and a Melodica...

The Stig Noise Soundsystem start as we’re likely to go on with intense, overwrought sounds. Based around brass and drums, it’s a fast improvised exploration of something approaching tribal doom jazz. As they batter their instruments with force and feeling, there’s odd wonderfully brain-searing moments.

"These lunatics will keep the public in suspense for 45. They s'amènent to 5 on stage: a trumpeter, playing also a mini-keyboard and typing time to time on a bass drum-a lap-steel guitarist-drummer unleashed a bass-25kg and the dreadlocked head guitars and yelling demonic, not to mention the capers in the public. A sixth man, turntables, add the weird sounds enthusiastic compositions of Liverpudlians.. 'Mexican Outburst' with lyrical trumpet and lapsteel sombrero before the guitarist did put a vociférer (in a headphone), as an Iroquois who surprised his squaw in the bed of Sarkozy. He stings of nervous breakdown, struggles with his guitar, throws her in the air, attached to a cable above the scene and sent to die at our feet. Later he will do the same with the elements of battery and a small Casio and swings precariously above the podium.This band will become legendary".

"..Jesus Christ STIG is some fucked up shit... this is all over the place chaos!!! Samples, beats, brass, Hawaiian guitars, heavy guitars, random noise and tons of other shit I cant describe!! The pace is constantly changing ...crazy, crazy shit. Definitely very punk etho's in its approach: very free and experimental and quite obviously not giving a fuck what people think. At times theres a slow reggae feel, then its kind of big band music, then its totally fucked up noise, then even more fucked up noise, then its like lounge music... you just gotta hear this because I cant describe this properly.
