Strawberry Blonde is Anja og Betina Følleslev, twin sisters out now with their debut album ‘Glorious’. Both are songwriters, singers and guitarists who share a passion for music.
The name Strawberry Blonde derives from the English term for the girls.. natural hair color, and these two determined blondes are well underway to establishing Strawberry Blonde as a well established live act on the Nordic music scene. The past two years have seen the girls performing hundreds of dates, along with initiating the project “Women Up North” – an annual concert series for female Scandinavian songwriters.
”Glorious”, with a release date of October 26th, 2009 on Anna Music/Kick Music, is a beautiful and very personal album with strong songs about love and life’s challenges, dealing with the topics of loss, longing and saying goodbye, while maintaining the courage to fight for your dreams. The girls.. story is written down in each song, and they have the ability to write and sing with honesty from where it hurts, with a clarity that allows others to recognize their own experiences in the songs – several of which were written in close collaboration with numerous American and Scandanavian co-writers..
Strawberry Blonde is from Odense, and they are active in Songwriters Circle, which actively supports original music by arranging concerts at the venue Dexter and special workshops for songwriters.

Programmet til Nye rødder 09 er klar. Ambitionsniveauet er højnet men vi forbliver i samme hyggelige lokaler i Magstræde.
Vi glæder os til Howe Gelb og Giant Sand, Tony Scherr, Islandske ólöf Arnalds, og ikke mindst hvad der kan blive den bedste koncert overhovedet i efteråret The Whale watching tour (Sam Amidon, Valgeir Sigurdsson,Ben Frost, Nico Muhly + gæster). Hver især er de 4 verdenskendt for deres arbejde med Antony and the johnsons, Grizzly bear, Bonnie prince billy, Björk og mange flere nu spiller de for første gang sammen på dansk grund.
Ud over de udenlandske navne spiller bla. Robot feat. Claus Hempler Slaraffenland Er de Sjældne The rumour said fire Cody og mange flere......
