My artist name is Stray Ghost, my real name is Anthony Saggers.
I'm 21 and live in Canterbury, although I'm originally from Oxford.
Last year I released two albums (Losthilde & Self-Titled) on London based Highpointlowlife, and two e.p's (Fabula/Sjuzhet & A House of Gold and Oak) through the smaller independent labels, Dead Pilot and Phantom Channel. These promoptly SOLD OUT COMPLETELY, so unfortunatly the only place to get them is by download from the net, or by asking me directly.
This year I am putting out an album (Losthilde II)...although this might get pushed forward to January; and an e.p (A Certain Blue) on the Australian label Hidden Shoal Recordings, along with another full-length on Dead Pilot Records (An Avalanche of Swollen Tongues) on the 12th of September; and also a follow up to A House of Gold and Oak (A House of Majesty and Hollow) on Phantom Channel.
"It is essential, though, that you get your jaws around the latest offering from the London stable. A simply colossal offering from Stray Ghost, in the shape of 'Losthilde'. Its complexities, seemingly as vast as space itself, are awe-inspiring as strange atmospherics clash with industrial noise and ghostly sounds, like the evocative of being caught slap bang in the centre of a huge, all-consuming storm. You may want to take a moment to compose yourself, pause for breath, or indeed scrape you jaw from the floor, after subjecting yourself to “Losthilde”. Saggers has created a truly cathartic piece that cleanses right to the core. “Losthilde” is a trip and a half. A trip of mammoth proportions." - Angry Ape.com
"With the four epic tracks of Losthilde, Stray Ghost, aka Ant Saggers, has crafted an engrossing and emotion-rich essay on (a) loss." -Mapsadaisical.com
"one of the most successful hybrids of quiet reflection and fierce noise that I've heard for a while, but never gets stuck in that quiet-build-loud-end cliche."
