都内のクラブやライヴハウスを中心に活動するGt, Ba, Dr, A.Saxからなる4人編成のJazz-Funk /Jam Band。Funkyで変幻自在、アグレッシヴかつタイトなグルーヴに、リズミカルで、ときにエモーショナルなメロディが絡み合うそのサウンドはライヴにおいてその真骨頂を発揮する。バンドの結成は’06年4月にGtの北田とDrの望月が出会ったところから始まる。二人は意気投合し日々セッションを続け、同年12月頃からそこに頻繁に顔を出していたA.Saxの前川が正式に加入し、メンバーが固まる。’07年4月からオリジナル曲を中心にライヴ活動を始め、10月には3曲入りの自主制作盤『Street Jack Tribe』を各地で無料配布。’08年２月にベーシストが現在の吉岡に代わり、以降月に２，３本のペースで精力的にライヴを行っている。'09年６月より現メンバーによる新たなるスタジオレコーディング及びCD制作を開始。セルフプロデュースによる『Street Jack Tribe』（第二弾！またもセルフタイトル！）を同９月末より発売。そして、時を同じくしてレコーディングとライブに参加していた岸田勇気（key)が正式メンバーとして加入、５人編成となる。
Street Jack Tribe is a jazz-funk band from Tokyo, Japan.It contains FUNK, R&B, ROCK,JAZZ,HIP-HOP... As the good-old jazz musician do, they improvise their each part, so every live perfomance is different.
Most songs they play are original. The main songwriter,Yu, on the guitar express his emotion by writing songs and playing. And other members also express theirselves by playing that songs on their own way. Each show has each meaning, and their music is best at live.
The first two were Yu & Mochy.They jammed at school every week, and when Naoto joined the band in winter of 2006, Street Jack Tribe was born. Their first live was not in Japan-it was in Korea as a student band of their school.
From 2007, the band has constantly played live. Meanwhile, they have continued writing songs both by jamming and composing. In summer, their first CD" Street Jack Tribe!!",including three songs was released, which was for free.
From March in 2008, Mitsunori joined as a new bass player, and Street Jack Tribe has played much more often than ever(2~3times per month).
And in 2009, after doing live each month, they are going to record the first studio-album during this summer...
