That was the Schoenberg version of Nice Butt, Rick Berlin said of a performance of his song by the String Sluts at his CD release party.
"The string quartet did an astonishing job. Thanks so much for the time you put into doing the arrangements. You all sounded lovely and I think because of you people may now actually believe that I'm a classy broad!" Paula Kelley said of two of her songs performed at her CD release party.
The String Sluts were born from the from the deeply ingrained childhood classical influences still remaining in Betty Widerski's subconscious after she thought she'd left that world behind as an electric rock/punk fiddler.
Influenced by her participation as an auxilliary member of the Paula Kelley Orchestra, Betty began succumbing to a fetish for creating string quartet arrangements of local Boston pop/rock musicians. Betty and Meredith have provided a unique musical experience for several musicians' CD release events by performing Betty's "alternate" versions of their songs. Their set list also includes Classic Rock (Bowie, Queen, AC/DC, etc.) , and custom arrangements of your favorite songs can be created for your wedding or other private event.
Recently joined by Angie Shyr and Virginia Berry, The String Sluts look forward to rocking Boston clubs and events with their unique brand of string pop!
