Stroke 9 formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1989. The band has since recorded five albums and toured extensively in the United States, Canada and Europe. Fueled by the commercial success of the hit song Little Black Backpack, their third album, Nasty Little Thoughts, went gold in 2000. The single Kick Some Ass from their fourth album Rip It Off was featured in the movie Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. The band has also had songs in other movies and TV shows including Ed TV, Scrubs, Malcolm in the Middle, and West Wing. AAAAAHHH! i'm crazy excited 'cause i just moved to oakland for college, and i found out this awesome band whose song "next time" got me through the roughest break-up and whose songs i jam to when i'm feeling down because they always put a smile on my face- they're from fan francisco! which means one day, i'm most definitely i'm going to see them play. :) basically, i love your guys' music, so i'm wondering when you'll be playing near san fran soon? p.s.- again, i'm hyped! haha. i've wanted to see ya'll live for so long- yay!!
I have been a Die Hard Stroke 9 fan forever. Im FINALLY going to my first concert this Sunday at the Coach House... because it seems like you never come to SoCal. I think I should get a shout out or some backstage passes or somethin!
Was SOO THRILLED to see you guys at the Coach House in OC. Great show!!! Hope Eric did okay at the marathon after the Jager. Dont wait too long to come back to SoCal!!!
I wish you could find whatever it was that inspired you when you guys created "Nasty Little Thoughts" and get back to that sound. What a mind numbingly good album that was. Musically it seemed like you had found your niche and I have been hard pressed to find a more well written album, lyrically. It has to be the soundtrack to my high school years.
When are you guys gonna play another gig. My sis and I are going through withdrawl. We saw you guys at the Red Devil and it was awesome, just like old times :) The Bay misses you.
My Dear Stroke 9, I want you to know that your music and your songs are my passion. I am addicted. There is something pulls me toards them. Keep it up Stroke 9. Fi PS:Follow Me Twitter at http://twitter.com/iaent
