.. .. .. .. The band was formed in the year 2000 under a different name (Not For Trendy Suckers). At that time, the hardcore scene was in its downfall and only few bands played hardcore in Croatia, but no one played nyhc in Zagreb so we decided it's time to do something about it and keep the hardcore flame burning... In the year 2001. our present vocalist came into the band and Stronghold was born. We had our first show in Zagreb on June 21th 2002. Surprised and impressed with the positive reactions of the audience, the band realized that this was it, this is what people were missing. The sound we bring is something like nyhc but in our own, Croatian way. It's a kind of a mixture of mosh hardcore with some old school hc, punk rock and even metal parts. A lot of passion, rage, heartfelt melodies. The songs are about common life things, streets, friends, politics, life and death, love and hate... We are influenced by the bands like Blood For Blood, Sheer terror, Yuppicide, Madball, Sick Of It All, Suicidal Tendencies, Social Distortion, Pennywise, Biohazard, Crowbar, Rykers, Backfire and many more... The band recorded a demo in 2002., full lenght DIY CD in 2004. and a MCD called "For You" in March 2008 as well as participated on couple of compilations. We shared the stage with bands like Terror, Bounz the ball, UK Subs, Spider Crew, Muzika Poludelih, Deafness By Noise... In summer 2005., the bend had a line up change and we are still lookin' for a label to support us... In 2008. after our last show on Exit festival, Serbia,we split up.Guitar player and drumer left the band so the bend did not exist till spring 2010. when fresh blood came to bend. Drummer Goran aka Zyo from legendary Zagreb metal/hard core bend Pure stems pack and Ivan aka Mrva from punk bend No more idols on guitar came to bend because they want to play in real & honest hard core ..so our story continuous... We still have a lot to say through our music and still feel that in Zagreb as well in Croatia is missing a good hard core bend.So, here we are again on scene... and show must go on!
