Here's my BBC Radio 1 Musicube! When I'm playing in clubs, it is mostly trance and house plus the odd track from one of the other dance derivatives. In my downtime I'm partial to the rest - from Nuyorican Soul to Roisin Murphy to Roni Size!

Stuart has presented for BBC Introducing on BBC Radio 1, a two hour show that represented Northern Irish dance music along with alternative, unsigned, and under-the-radar tracks. He has also piloted for the national BBC Radio 1 Thursday 12am–2am slot. Audio clips are on Stuart’s MySpace. He has been involved with podcasting, radio and webcasting for over five years. Stuart continues to present a monthly package called Time Of The Month on BBC Introducing on BBC Radio 1 in Northern Ireland, and is a weekly volunteer presenter on Ulster Hospital Radio too.
When Stuart Millar and others from the Northern Ireland dance music scene were invited by BBC Radio1 to meet in Belfast with the Head of Programmes and Head of Live Events it was Stuart who was invited back to BBC Radio1 HQ in London. There followed a meeting at which all the key R1 personnel were present, where Stuart was asked to give his opinion on the UK music scene. Stuart now has a robust relationship with the station both in London and Belfast, and champions new dance music from UK and Ireland whenever possible. In March 2009 Stuart attended the Miami Winter Music Conference for the first time as an official delegate, and spoke on a panel regarding RSS Feeds, Podcasting & Webcasts.
In the eight years he’s been DJing Stuart Millar has been featured on stations across the globe including the “the big four” - Tiesto (Radio 538 Clublife Holland), Ferry Corsten (Corsten’s Countdown Holland), the world’s no. 1 DJ Armin Van Burren (A State Of Trance Holland) and Judge Jules (BBC Radio 1 UK). His track called ‘Galactica’ was shortlisted by Blackhole and Tiesto for inclusion in Tiesto’s In Search of Sunrise compilation for 2008 and selected by Jules to open his R1 show. It was also nominated as the track of 2008 on Armin’s ASOT show.
Stuart Millar has signed tracks to Secure ID, Monster Tunes, Used & Abused Music, Proxoz and Nukleuz / UMM. His tunes are available on over one hundred download sites and are reviewed regularly in MixMag. He co-produced a record with Judge Jules, called ‘Undisputed Love’, under the Mass Motion alias. The Mass Motion project is a joint effort with Dave Lievense. The next single, ‘Nobody Better’ has been given exclusively to Pete Tong and features vocals from the Angie Brown from Bizzare Inc, written by Danny Kirsch. The duo have also been asked to produce a theme tune for Simon Cowell’s X-Factor show. As well as running his Limited Company Smart Move Music, he has promoted in the award-winning Boom Boom Room and Café Ceol.
His reviews in the local publication Timeout have been used by labels in Europe and America on their sales sheets and websites. He has undertaken other journalistic roles including promotional copy for Mynt in Belfast for their Fever nights and their Fierce Angel Bank Holiday events. It was also a measure of his talents that he was asked to judge at one of the most important heats of the Corona Movida World DJ Mixing Championships.

Firstly thanks to everyone who came down last month, twas a great wee gig and the place was jumping to old skool jungle til the wee early hours.
We’ve got our second credit crunching, barrack busting dance off on Saturday the 6th June. Tuneage on the night will come from Homespun and Rudimentary resident Chuck bringing some of his latin & broken beat flava to the Apache rig, and we’re glad to have Belfast turntablist & producer John King back again this month to bring some serious deck skills to the table. Finishing of the night will be Apache residents Jayuu and Jim Morton dropping some soulful dnb rollers til late in the night.
The paltry fee of a 5er will get you entrance and as per usual it’s a bring your own event. Things will be kicking of around 9.30pm at Blick Studios, 51 Malone Road (across the road from the Church)

* FORUM *
We've opened the forum again cause a few people have been saying it would add a bit more community to the site, please use it so it doesn't get closed again!
We've made a minor change to how gigs are added to the site, the lineup section is now a single text area instead of individual text boxes for each act, a small change but it makes adding gigs a lot quicker cause you can copy and paste the lineup from elsewhere :)
* NEWS SUBMISSIONS *
Don't forget you can now submit all your news stories for inclusion on the front page of the site, any dance/electronic music related news in Ireland will be considered.
