About me:
Promoter from London organising Let's go baboon nights. Enjoy chaotic and charming gigs rather than smooth well organised ones. Their isn't really a theme as such, try and keep it as eclectic as possible UPDATE APRIL 21st 2008: After a brief sabbatical, Let's go baboon is returning to a bright new future. More details soon but the main information is the gigs: The next gig is: 17th JUNE 2008 featuring: The Declining Winter (featuring co-founder of Hood, Richard Adams) Arthur and Martha By The Fireside More details to follow. It is a Bardens Boudoir though... The one after is 1st August 2008 Brixton Windmill Dan Fishback (Cheese on Bread main man) and much more to follow very soon. We are now very much up for many more gigs so let us know if you're keen... 2007 - have had some brilliant, brilliant gigs which have been:
January 28th 2007 at the Windmill our venture in to vauderville Al Duvall (US), Singing Sadie(AUS), Nigel Burch, Candythief MJ Hibbett Then March 21st at the Luminaire we went a bit anticon-electronic with: Bracken SJ Esau Gareth S Brown + DJ Buddy Peace For our sun-soaked easter extravaganza on April 8th at the Windmill: David Cronenberg's Wife Morton Valence The Bobby McGees The Cedars The Unfortunates & Jonny Berliner Hopping on a couple of weeks and we had a bit of collaboration with the Windmill on 22nd April, we helped promote fine folk from Tom Brosseau(US) Screamer on The Hill Fireworks Night Mendicant & Lungs Moving in to the summer time to May 23rd, our first outing at the Spitz Charlie Parr(US) Fireworks Night (they were great, we had em back see) & The Dials June? back at the WIndmill on the 14th for: Kaiser Cartel (US) Sister (new single on Parlephone in Nov) Bone-Box and Stars of Aviation (the nicest band around). July 11th back at the Luminaire Cheese on Bread (US) The Wave Pictures David Cronenberg's Wife Coley Park And lastly, August 23rd at the Luminaire: Adrian Crowley Jonquil Dear Euphoria(SWE)
Then potentially? Who knows, perhaps nothing, possibly something. I might start promoting fictional nights, were the line-up I want are always available Keep in touch though as lots of the bands we've put on over the years have been through this way Enjoy rest of 2008 you.

Who I'd like to meet:
Many many good things that are 2008. Some are acts we believe should be much bigger then they are (musically, not height wise). Others are just random rantings of a musical nerd Acts we like The Wave Pictures (one of my favourite Let's go baboon acts of 2007) David Cronenberg's Wife (glorious new single, great live) Maggie (another Hood affiliated top act, hopefully in London soon) The Slow Life Mechanical Bride (would like to have them on soon The Strugglers (marvellous US act who should be far far bigger than they are - its mine and yours secret right? Former Bullies (can't understand why they aren't bigger, fave live act for Let's go baboon of 2006 and still ones to watch Blanket, Jonquil, MJ Hibbett, The Sliding Rule, etc etc In a band - let me know and we'll see what we can do. Cheers
