STYGGELSE (Swedish for ABOMINATION) came together in Eskilstuna in the year of -04/05 (?) during heavy drinking. Made a couple of rehearsals, then Larsson and Kallbrand relocated to Gothenburg. Then there was a silence…
Then we finally put our shit together in the end of -05 and entered THE CRYPT OF KERBEROS studio and recorded a 6 track record that was released on BAPHOMET REC. in the states.
After that Skadeglade also came to Gothenburg and Illkvist left the band due to the extreme distance between him and the band. He’s still a true Abomination!
STYGGELSE kept on burning and did a 2 track demo in studio DECAY (Unbaptized , never released… yet). Then in -07 Folkilsk who just moved to Gothenburg joined us on Bass and the circle of shit was complete. We started to do live gigs and soon again entered studio DECAY with D.K. behind the wheel for a 3 track demo, we named it “GOATENBURG ABOMINATIONS”. We knew what we wanted and soon we entered it again and recorded a 4 track demo (Unbaptized) that will be partly released on a 7” split vinyl with the Canadian band EVIL WRATH. Some of the songs are up for listening here on myspace.
We also just released “Mavsolevm Tellvs” on AURAL OFFERINGS REC. In France on cassette on a limited edition (138 copies) that we recorded during hi fever and drinking -07/08.
STYGGELSE is and always will be a band of non-compromise existence! We don't make music for anyone else but ourselves and we fucking hate all the people in the scene (whatever fucking scene, black, crust, death) that enter it for the purpose not doing it with a full fucking commitment!!! This is a not a show, not a fucking theatre to entertain the butchers, this is a fucking book writing itself and speaks nothing but the truth!
