"...Dizzying, energizing, the set was sex on legs, and I was desperately sorry when it was over." - Sammi (Adzuki Bean Stash)
Over it's short lifespan as a full band, subNatural has grown into one of the Austin underground scene's premiere acts. Recently winning "Best Industrial/Goth Band" in The 2009 Austin Music Awards, performing at SXSV's Livestrong Benefit for SXSW and playing more shows around Texas has expanded their core fanbase.. While people keep seeking them out from all corners of the globe to help appease their need for something genuine, sincere and intense.
"...Aggressive, visceral and yet emotive... The sheer energy alone that these guys exude is enough reason to experience them live." - Cindy Adzuki (Adzuki Bean Stash)
Releasing their 1st LP (Message LTD. in Feb. '07 to a wall-to-wall crowd) it quickly sold out within 2 months. It's since been re-released both online and in new packaging (available at live shows), as well as releasing the limited run Peepshow EP (which includes 5 new demos off their next LP and 5 remixes by: This is My Darkside, melodywhore, in-fin_it, Dopeengineers and Jonny Dethwish of The Future Process).
"The group's sound encompasses the raw energy of the industrial genre — dynamic riffs, powerful percussion, and keys that add a tangible element to the entire show. Emotional lyrics and an overall easygoing albeit energetic stage presence help explain subNatural's devout following." - Tara (LiveDaily/Note to Self)
Working with many other industrial-influenced bands locally (ATX's Chant, Dallas' The Razorblade Dolls) and nationally (Android Lust, Mercurine, Attrition) they've also earned the respect and admiration of musician's, artist's and venue owners spanning the entirety of I-10 (coast-to-coast) and around the country.
Over heard at the Engine Room in Houston - "...This is the show that spawns legends".
Talking with them is an adventure all to itself.. From rambling on-and-on about the state of the world to cracking a crass joke it's easy to see why so many people are drawn in.
"Make sure to actually stop by the booth and say hi... i like getting to know the peep-holes out there who actually care about something..." -riTch N
Expect more ridiculously energetic live shows and more new material very, very soon.
The Dungeon Awaits 23: GUILD, TV ON THE RADIO, NIN
This Week: Los Angeles based Electro-Clash Rockers GUILD roll up to the Dungeon with a bag full of gifts and 25 minutes early, leaving host D-FLOx a mere 2 minutes to put on his underwear, dress himself in assorted leather and spikes, and arrange a cheese plate to welcome GUILD to the Dungeon. GRASSHOPPER du Cirque Noir arrives patriotically on time blasting STARS AND STRIPES oi! punk, prepared to fight for freedom and liberty in the name of Blood Fire and Death. As the interview begins, details about GUILDS communist ties begin to surface and D-FLOx and GRASSHOPPER begin to question GUILDS patriotism due to their fascination with HEATH LEDGER and bands that come from socialist countries. But after showering D-FLOx and GRASSHOPPER with awsome GUILD merch, tensions ease and GUILDS true American roots are exposed after announcing a tour through the heartland in Texas, and their yearly attendance at the COACHELLA MUSIC FESTIVAL. GUILD continue to display their love for freedom and the American way by singing "AMERICA, FUCK YA" and hijacking a NIN song on the upcoming NIN DVD. Featuring never before heard music from NIN and GUILD, and 3 tracks off GUILDS NEW ALBUM and details about their music featured on the upcoming television show, THE EDGE!!!
