  • Bio

" This five piece band has achieved something that is hard to do in today's music scene and that is to have an undefined sound. You simply cannot put this band into one particular category as they seem to master all types of genres and they do them all well. The other thing that makes this band unique is that their songs are not only witty and funny but they also tell stories which adds to the listening pleasure". - Sunmacine.net. These are the kind of things that are being said about the band SUCKERPUSH. In the late 90's a few friends formed a band in Kalamazoo, MI and called it hypnik jerk. Although short lived, the band quickly gained status in the area opening for the likes of Dick Dale and members of The P-Funk All Stars, before their untimely end. The Three remaining members Scott Moerman, Sean Campbell and Brian Pitcole, struggled to keep the band together. Finally putting together a 3-piece acoustic project, and called it FARLEY. The band played all over the state of MI gaining fans and friends alike, with the addition of a bassist and then a rhythm guitarist, the now 5-piece band decided to change directions. The once acoustic cover type band made way for SUCKERPUSH. Since then Suckerpush has released its 1st CD to rave reviews, gaining endorsements along the way from Ovation Acoustic Guitars, Pro Co. Int., and others. Suckerpush gained National Radio Exposure on the Mitch Albom Show, as well as in studio interviews and songs on 103.3fm and the Edge 92.1 to name a few. In late 2002 they joined forces with National Pastime Sports, a National Production Co. That has enabled Suckerpush to play many sporting type events such as U of M homecoming and State Games, Kalamazoo Wings Stadium home opener, the 2003 Chicago Cubs Convention, and the Iowa Cubs Convention and more. In early 2003 Suckerpush were granted a full endorsement from AKG acoustics the microphones they use "live", and the future couldn't be brighter. Suckerpush have a new much anticipated CD set for release in early 2003, as well as expanding to a 10 state touring radius. With a live show that is a must see, great songs, great music and business savvy, we expect Suckerpush to go the distance. As for Musical prowess, members of Suckerpush have been auditioned by the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, jammed with members of P-Funk, and run sound for everyone from Kid Rock to regional favorites Domestic Problems. With a new 500 mile touring radius, that encompasses over 10 states, a new CD almost complete, and the road legs from over 500 shows in the last 4 years, Suckerpush has the stage presence and the musical ability to entertain young and old alike. All I can say is the live show is a total experience, great lyrics, great music, and a fun band kicking out 110% night after night. "We all love to play, it's just that simple" Scott the Guitarist said, "it's all about having fun playing, if we dig what we are doing, hopefully so will others."
