Brown, this fantastic event takes place every Wednesday evening @ 8:00pm (7:30 sign up sharp) til 12mid, (sign up is 7:30 sharp and the list of 18 slots fills in two seconds flat) As you can see we have 4 hours to pack in all the goodness so don't be late, don't hesitate, and be ready to be blown away by Portlands best and most real local talent. Everything from music and poetry to monologues and sometimes the unexplainable, but always good! Come sell your cds, poetry books (chap books), connect, network, promote yourself, make friends (meet sexy people;) but most importantly, come to share a night in one of the best listening rooms Portland has to offer complete with spot lights and an awesome sound tech. Yes, this is an opportunity to play for an audience that is here to "listen". No sports channel in the back ground, the folks come for the show. If your on tour performing a show(s) in Portland, come to the S.M.O.M. and plug your gig. Better yet, let us know your comin in advance and I'll announce it the week before so we'll be eagerly awaiting your arrival as your own personal welcoming ante rage! All are welcomed! And i can't stress enough, if you want to perform, show up at 7:15 to get on the list, and don't hurt each other getting to it. We've been consistantly packed in with standing room only and on the second Wed of each month we do recording, for the "Suck My Compilation" and eventually the "Suck My Road Show" from Seattle to the Bay. Come join us! You'll be glad you did and so will we! Yay!
