JOKE LANZ & RUDOLF EB.ER akustische aktion (essen) zurich 1991 - LP
(PAN 91 / PAN UK)
"A dinner is a dinner:
Joke Lanz (Sudden Infant) & Rudolf Eb.er (Runzelstirn & Gurgelstock) bite, chew, smack, gulp and slurp in order to tickle your ears and your digestive system. Instead of decay and corruption, Lanz and Eb.er deliver a true and undiluted composition of this existential act of annihilation.
This historical document of an early Schimpfluch Gruppe performance is an absolute must for fans of actionistic noise and performance-art.
It is packaged in a pro-press folded cover including all information and photos which itself is housed in a silk screened pvc sleeve with the text from the original documentation of the perfomance.

Ectoplasmic Eruption
Here are the inevitable rubbish heaps of the world, confused and confounded, as convoluted as intestines.
It requires the courage of hope to establish oneself in this abyss, to climb down there time after time.
It's a question of providing face, language, form and sound for rubble, rags, meaningless components and indiscriminate heaps and of putting them into this space which is determined by incidentals, by the chance throw of the dice and which therefore lacks any organic order. That which is ugly should not be polished up, embellished or prettified. Discovery is the beauty of ugliness itself! Nothing should be glossed over, everything should remain inexorably true. Nothing should be puttied over, whitewashed, draped or dolled up into a sham existence. No rhetoric should cover the fact of our finiteness of our coming-to-an-end.

An inner motivation causes the sound to find its way out of the body and into the space. Gestural pantomime explains more about this music, coming as it does from a feeling for the body, than words could ever do. Intellect plays no part here, in a form of music that owes more to animal than to musical instincts.
