Carlos Giffoni says: 'I first met Joke Lanz four or five years ago in New York, during his US-tour. I was immediately blown away by his work, by its ferocitiy and precision. I had been experimenting in similar areas in my solo performances and in recordings with the Old Bombs trio, and had heard of Joke through his involvement in Schimpfluch-Gruppe, but nothing could prepare me for the cut-up insanity of Sudden Infant's performance.
This current collaboration has its origins in a joint performance in a shady pub in East London in 2004, though in between then and the time this record was made our styles had diverged - Sudden Infant still ferocious and precise but with a whole new refreshing approach to physical sounds - me still looking for the perfect frequency to make the audience come in their pants. Combine these approaches and you get a true oscillating orgy.'
Recordings have been exchanged and reworked, and finalised when the two played together again at Blå club in Oslo in 2006. Mastered and cut by the peerless Rashad Becker in Berlin. First edition of 200 copies!

Member of the infamous SCHIMPFLUCH collective, singer of the notorious CATHOLIC BOYS IN HEAVY LEATHER and long time accompanist of Rudolf Eb.er, he's presenting his work since more than 20 years all over the world. Ectoplasmic Eruption
Here are the inevitable rubbish heaps of the world, confused and confounded, as convoluted as intestines.
It requires the courage of hope to establish oneself in this abyss, to climb down there time after time.
It's a question of providing face, language, form and sound for rubble, rags, meaningless components and indiscriminate heaps and of putting them into this space which is determined by incidentals, by the chance throw of the dice and which therefore lacks any organic order. That which is ugly should not be polished up, embellished or prettified. Discovery is the beauty of ugliness itself! Nothing should be glossed over, everything should remain inexorably true. Nothing should be puttied over, whitewashed, draped or dolled up into a sham existence. No rhetoric should cover the fact of our finiteness of our coming-to-an-end.
