Band Biography 2008:
SuidAkrA can look back in their 13-year-old history and see 8 published albums, more than 200 gigs and various touring activities. The band has had a steadily growing following for many years in the German Metal scene. Following the worldwide release of their albums “Emprise To Avalon” (2002), “Signs For The Fallen” (2003), “Command To Charge” (2005) and “Caledonia” (2006), they gained many new fans in Europe and drew more attention in the USA, South America, Japan and Australia.
While in 2005 “Command To Charge” was a new adventure for SuidAkrA, “Caledonia” (2006) once again returned to the roots of an inspired, well-balanced mixture of raw death metal, plenty of harmonies, a mesmerizing pagan/folk atmosphere and bombastic catchy heavy metal. SuidAkrA’s ability to blend these various sounds into a hard, fast-paced yet intricate song structure is what really sets them apart from the rest. Their variations prove that melody and brutality can be worked together to provide a unique experience for the listener.
Highlights for the band in 2007 include several shows spanning over 12 countries, the participation at Wacken Open Air, and both the European tour with Ensiferum as well as their own headlining Russian-Ukrainian tour.
SuidAkrA continues to move forward in 2008 with their highly anticipated, first ever shows in the United States! They will start with Chicago Powerfest 2008, and then will wrap up their US debut by playing six West Coast shows as a Special Guest on the Paganfest USA tour.

ja, war echt hammer am samstag, euer auftritt. nur leider warn ja nicht sooo sehr viel leute da, aber war trotzdem ordentliche stimmtung, mein genick hat am sonntag schön weh getan^^wär auf jeden fall geil wenn ihr mal wieder in der nähe spielt,... haut rein, weiter so ; )
What up guys ? just got the CD/DVD in the mail ...... its amazing, love the re-recorded songs and especially the stuff from the cd's that i cant find !!! made my day. watched the wacken show and loved it. hope u guys make it to the US again ....... and couldnt be more excited to hear u are workin on new music !!
Nah man, thanks for the add! Really like the music, awesome stuff. My cousin showed me Folk Metal a couple days ago and it's pretty stinkin' sweet! Haha.
