Sunward first debuted in 2002 at the North Texas New Music Festival in Dallas. Merging melodic song craft with psychedelically infused sounds, Sunwards music moves in a refreshing direction somewhere between indie-pop and space rock. While their compositions are steeped in lush, heady audioscapes painted by atmospheric violin, guitar and synthesizers, Sunward never abandons the most important element of a rock song, the melody. Drawing influence from such contemporaries as Grandaddy, The Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev and the traditions of Pink Floyd and The Beatles, the resulting style is a quirky retro-pop that is both cerebral and catchy.
Sunward began with vocalist/ violinist / guitarist Doug Kershaw (Tabula Rasa, Blender) & keyboardist/guitarist Greg Price (Deathray Davies).
Sunward's current members hail from bands that have toured nationally and heard their CDs spun on college and commercial radio across the country. The newest lineup includes Doug Kershaw, Jerko Dabelic, David Perry, and Josh Hoover (Chemistry Set, Johnny Loyd Rollins).
Sunward recently released their full-length album entitled, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Start Your Horses," and are currently playing shows and recording a follow-up EP.

This week we started a fan club website for Kinky Friedman and began a campaign to Rock The Vote. So if you're really want to support Kinky during his run for Governor of Texas we want to support everything you have planned and booked by listing it within our network and creating a profile on Kinky's fan club website.
Already we're generating thousands of visitors a day, but this is just the beggining Kinky will once again become the media focus across the country he was during the last Governor's race. This will generate tremendous traffic to promote those who support the Kinkster and help us Rock The Vote giving supporters places to be and people to see.
