I am a japanese female DJ/Producer/Composer/Musician/Label-Owner/Total Studio Addict/Author/Catalyzer.
I used to play in a punk band as a vocalist/rhythm guitarist with 3 other boys in TOKYO --- one of the most notorious cyber toy towns in Asia that's oddly floating on the multiculturemessy miso soup ---- then I spent 8 years touring all over japan and rehearsing in mouldy, stinky basement studios, released 3 albums in Japan, then totally had enough and got sick of it. So I quit the band and soon after this I started making my own music on computer !!!! What a joy!! Also discovered what a wonderful thing dancing for fat sound systems under the sun is... a personal mutation! It was around 1993 and after I'd released an album with an acid jazz/break beats/trip hop influence, around 1997, my music started showing a stronger techno influence with a psychedelic twist. Also in the same period I started DJ-ing.
Early 2000- I moved my base from Tokyo to the UK. In 2001, I started doing psy & proggy trance / downtempo unit "ZEN LEMONADE" with Gus Till . We released our first album on Youth's label DRAGONFLY RECORDS in London in 2002 and received critical acclaim. Since then we've been on many dance/chillout compilations worldwide. By 2002, I had moved and set up my new base in the "Island of Gods", BALI ..I totally fell in love with this amazing place, this magical island's unique hindu culture and mystical depth of nature. In ancient times, we japanese believed in 8 million gods in nature and, in this place, I can feel millions of spirits are everywhere even now and its a constant inspiration for me...
In 2005, I started my own record label "Hypo=Espresso Records" to release my kind of electronica from my 'laboratory'. I released my solo album " "Luxury Addict " in August world widely, then lounge compi " Chillpresso1 ~ dari bali ~" in 2007 june, and now am preparing first dance track compilation from hypo.. a juicy yet crispy, chunky yet deep & groovy Tech house & Proggy & electro with plenty of evilness !!! yum yum! Music and the label is my life's work..it doesn't matter how much stuff I release per year..its like lifelong surfing..I just simply want to enjoy the ride when a wave comes ...and expand my cosmic family and playground all over the planet via music.
So, I am totally addicted to digging my own invention in my secret laboratory .. where I'm like a mad japanese scientist. Sometimes I feel like I'm some female version of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Dick Van Dyke! (Not really sexy isn't it? Whoops.) Anyway..I've a bit of a short temper sometimes and blow my rockets off for fun. I also love watching things through a magnifying glass (it's true). Yeah, I am a total Otaku Girl .
And yes, I'm also one of those bloody DJs. My DJ-style is a mix of hypnotic yet deeply groovy tech house & proggy staff and dirty breaks & acidy electro or even drum'n bass with a psychedelic spice. I also absolutely LOVES to play alternative chillout sets .. my passion !! It's a juicy voyage that going through dub and cool yet deeply edgy down beats and cross-continent-exotic sounds with a spoonful of retro flavour -anything from old exotica to Led Zeppelin, John Barry, Herbie Hancock and anything inbetween might be thrown into the mix because its my way to express my respect for all human musical history!
I love the people who aren't afraid to express themselves. It doesn't matter what tools they use to catalyse their own world .. music, painting, graphics, photography, fire dancing & performance, cooking or gardening or making wine or being a killer bondage queen or whatever, but just not making bombs or somethig , please! I don't believe that's any kind of "expression" method at all. There are many other ways to being yourself.

Hi I really LOVE your music,and I just read your 'about me' and its so nice to meet you via this internet and hear your sounds.... I play lots of guitar in a couple of bands and also spend chapters of time in Bali ( and many other places ) but I know what you mean about that magic of that place... anyhow over and out and hope out paths cross one day .
