Well, I like sci-fi. I like games. And I like to sleep. My favorite foods include Chinese, Japanese, Italian, and Chef Boyardee. I like to read, I like anything with substance to it (good movies, good books, good music, etc.), and I like hanging out with friends. I also like actually being able to participate in a conversation.
Hey, I'm weird. I don't always fit in.
Music
Where do I begin? Well, 3 Doors Down is my favorite band, although they've got some competition in my book. I'm also fond of Lifehouse, Sum 41, the Gorillaz, Mae (yes, that's a band), The Fray, some of AFI and My Chemical Romance, and various other things. Also, I am particularly fond of a song called "Sing Along," a collaboration between Dave Matthews and the Blue Man Group.
Movies
My biggest movie craze is Godzilla (not the mutated lizard that attacked New York in '98, I mean the real thing that attacked New York in '99 and Tokyo every other day; see "Destroy All Monsters" for the New York bit). Next up is Gamera (another Japanese monster icon). I like sci-fi films, a good scary film (something that's genuinely scary, not something that's blood, gore, and loud noises every five seconds), and the occasional chick-flick (it's gotta be funny and it's gotta have a storyline I can appreciate, though). I like some action films, I like dark stuff... wow, there's just all kinds of stuff I like and all kinds of stuff you wouldn't catch me in front of, dead.
UPDATE: Cloverfield is quite possibly the greatest giant monster movie ever made. King Kong, eat your heart out.
Television
Ah, TV, the brain-rotting, yet half-informative entertainment unit. Favorite shows include Smallville, Veronica Mars, House, Monk, Star Trek: TNG (The Next Generation), Yu-Gi-Oh!, Who Wants To Be A Superhero? (greatest reality TV show EVER MADE!), NCIS, and the Twilight Zone.
Books
I eagerly await the last installments of the Harry Potter series and Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Trilogy (that's the one with Eragon). Harlen Ellison is a good author, as well. Sci-fi, general fiction about life, fantasy... I'm a fiction kind of guy.
Heroes
Who are my heroes? Well, let's see... Eiji Tsuburaya, for one. He was one of Japans leading special effects pioneers before he died, and also one of the men responsible for Godzilla's creation. And he created Ultraman.
Kazuki Takahashi is the man behind Yu-Gi-Oh! and thus the creator of what is one of the greatest card games of all time.
J.K. Rowling is another hero (heroine?), and not just because she's a great writer, but that she has the courage to finish what she started.
My father is my greatest hero, however. He was the man who got me hooked on Japanese monster movies, taught me to read, encouraged me whenever I did great or lousy, and was an overall great father. He died in November of 2000.
About me: Well, there's so much to tell and so much I don't want to say. So I will say this: I'm interesting. I'm funny, complicated, and an overall enigma.
And I love that word. Enigma.
You Are An INFJ
The Protector
You live your life with integrity, originality, vision, and creativity.
Independent and stubborn, you rarely stray from your vision - no matter what it is.
You are an excellent listener, with almost infinite patience.
You have complex, deep feelings, and you take great care to express them.
In love, you truly see relationships as an opportunity to connect and grow.
You enjoy relationships as long as they are improving and changing. You can't stand stagnation.
At work, you stay motivated and happy... as long as you are working toward a dream you support.
You would make a great photographer, alternative medicine guru, or teacher.
How you see yourself: Hardworking, ethical, and helpful
When other people don't get you, they see you as: Manipulative, weak, and unstable
Who I'd like to meet: Well, where to begin? Some good filmmakers for starters. I've got ideas crawling out of my ears. Some really good special effects artists would be great, too.
But who, specifically, would I like to meet? J.K. Rowling, I guess. Yeah, Harry Potter fan, and I'd love to meet the woman who made the kid.
And then I'd like to meet the guy who plays the kid: Daniel Radcliffe. I think that's how it's spelled. Actually, I'd like to meet all three of the main kids.
There are people I HAVE met, though. Harlen Ellison, Bob Eggleton, and various people who have had a hand in making many of the Godzilla movies, including one guy who was in several of the suits, and the guy who makes the suits. (I forget both names, but the guy who makes the suits owns a company called "Monsters, Inc." Funny, eh?)
