AT LAST! A break from the mundane clutches of the alternative rock scene is found in Sweet Assault, hailing from various parts of Northwest Ohio.
The music can best be described as a rock-funk fusion that grooves in a deep pocket, highlighted by very melodic vocal lines and tasteful guitar work. Among the many qualities that Sweet Assault has to offer, the live performance may be the most notable. With a full array of musical influences from within many genres, Sweet Assault offers a wide range of groove, complexity, and infectious rock music that pleases a variety of listeners with a sweet assault on the senses! The ability to pack local bars on a regular basis has helped to spread their reputation as a great live act. The members of Sweet Assault combine their decades of experience to bring audiences everywhere well-executed songs written by the musicians who perform them.
Don Clement (rhythm guitar), Kari Clement (lead guitar and vocals), Gabe Hernandez (bass), and Brad Babcock (drums) came together in 2007, discovering that the possibilities are endless and the result is Sweet! (Assault). The band has since spent their time playing a wide array of shows while writing and recording original music and earning an outstanding reputation in Northwest Ohio.
In the Spring of 2009, Sweet Assault released a 5 song, self-titled EP and is now taking on the Greater Midwest region to make a name for themselves. Keep your eyes and ears open for new Sweet Assault updates and future releases. Check out the gig schedule found below.

Yeah we only been jamming for a little over a month and only been working on songs less than that. lol. It's crazy how fast you learn new songs when a show is three weeks away like it was for us. Thanks for the comments on my drumming too. I was pretty tired by the time we were done (I blame that on the restricted time slot). We will try to stay at it though.
As for the 7th. Sounds like a b.a. idea. If all goes well, it just may be one of the biggest shows in Nap for the month. Woo. :P
