Swirl bio-
The band was started ten years ago by brothers Duane "DT" and Brian "Bam Bam" Jones who were raised in Alaska. California natives lead singer Al Ramirez and bassist Shane Carlson complete the current touring Swirl line up!
The band left the studio with 2 new tracks "Adrenaline" and "Sleepwalker" in May 2008 (which feature Cinderella drummer Fred Coury playing, producing and mixing the tracks) to add to the tracks previously produced by both former Quiet Riot/ current Ratt co-lead guitarist Carlos Cavazo and ex-Rough Cutt bassist Matt Thorr to round out the songs for their 'Timeline' CD release. Swirl..s blending of classic metal influences, modern style production (all final mixes for 'Timeline" are done by Fred Coury), writing, recording techniques and high energy live show is getting the band a lot of attention in a very short time.
Currently Swirl can be heard on over 80 internet rock radio stations and has developed a you tube following with the large number of performance clips posted by fans and the band.
By the end of 2009 Swirl will have racked up over 50,000 touring miles and performed over 100 shows throughout the United States.
Swirl just completed a second tour with the Bulletboys in the winter of 2009. Prior to that tour Swirl was out with George Lynch..s Souls of We in the fall of 2009 (George is best known for his work in Dokken and Lynch Mob). Prior to that Swirl was the support band for the East Meets West Tour ..09 featuring RATT and Extreme summer 2009.
Swirl first toured with the Bulletboys in the spring of 2009.
The current lineup for Swirl first toured on the Metal In America XXX-Mas Tour in the winter of 2008 (featuring Stephen Pearcy and his Rat Bastards plus Britny Fox).
WE APPRECIATE YOU ALL!!! SEE YOU ALL SOON!
