About Unifaun

If you are a fan of the 1970..s line up of Genesis, this might be right up your alley!
In June 2008, we released our debut album in the classic style of Genesis as a labour of love to our mighty heroes and also to keep this great soundscape alive today - and in a way - rendering the spirit of classic old school symfonic prog rock!.

Nad Sylvan met Steve Hackett at the Night of the Prog festival July 11, 09. Steve said he was really looking forward to listen to the Unifaun album, as he had heard of it for some time now.

"Somebody pointed out we are not just another Genesis tribute band. We are a Genesis soundscape band. We dont cover their songs. So, suppose that makes us a Genesis soundscape band, and not a Genesis tribute band. Or what ever.. Wonder what Rael would have sprayed on the wall if he knew - or is he now an old man like Henry, waiting by the pearly gates? No, they are just slightly middle aged and very much alive and kicking!"

Click on the album cover to order! The Unifaun album was released on June 27, 2008 in Europe through Progress Records. On the Sept 23, it will be out on the US market through Prog Rock Records (US label).

RAYON VERT	Jun 25 2009 8:26 PM I really don't want to make a comparison to Genesis. Your music is real.....it's original....it's emotional.....it has depth and it has captured my musical heart. Yes, it does sound like Genesis in every way, from the drum / bass / guitar rhythm riffs and passages to the flowing beautiful keyboard tones, playing and sounds of Tony Banks.......and Nad's vocals are dead ringers for either Phil or Peter, depending on the era or style. BUT STILL!!! You have captured a completely original sound and feel and not one song is a copy of any Genesis material. I treasure this CD, as much as any of the Genesis lp's and Cd's.
